Please tell me you read that title above in your best Alfred Hitchcock voice and I’ll be your friend forever. Anyway, to keep those of you who read this site semi-regularly confused, a mild bit of culture today in the form of a poem (that I didn’t write, so it’s actually GOOD):

Anyway, today’s Humble Daily Bundle is a (mostly) all WORMS deal plus some other fine Team 17 games that you probably need to play. If you know WORMS, you know you’ll be gathering a few friends to plop down in front of that monitor and kicking them out a few hours later because they just don’t want to leave. get five games for whatever you feel comfortable paying, six bucks gets you all those and WORMS: Armageddon, more than ten bucks nets you FIVE more games including the excellent (and tough as nails) Alien Breed trilogy. Sounds like a plan and nope, I’d never heard of Superfrog until today either! Did I mention you also get soundtracks? No? Well, you DO! Okay, get to the buying and playing and listening stuff. Humble Indie Bundle 8 was a great collection of games at a greater price when it was released a long while back and as part of the sites daily sales, it’s back for 24 hours. Grab it, I say, as you get the haunting Dear Esther, plenty of action in Capsized, Awesomenauts, Hotline Miami, and more. I’d also grab it JUST for Tiny and Big In: Grandpa’s Leftovers because it’s hilarious and strange and a funky learning experience in terms of the unique controls and game mechanics. And the music rocks, too!

Anyway, you know the deal – buy up at a fair price, your money goes to charity and you get to smile a lot as you play too many games and wonder what the outside world is up to on a really rainy day. You know… TODAY is a really rainy day here. Hmmm…

Anyway, The Banner Saga is a sprawling epic strategy game from Stoic that’s won some big awards and garnered plenty of praise for its story and lovely stylized visuals. You can (and SHOULD) grab this one before this Humble Daily Sale‘s over, I say. Meanwhile, the Humble Weekly Sale is all about indie platforms of recent vintage, all solid and fun as heck to play through multiple times. Get it too and watch those two charities (Child’s Play and the American Red Cross) make bundles from those bundles! Yeah, you know you want to grab both deals and I can’t stop you at all…

Humble Daily Bundle #2: It’s All About Space Today!

While today’s Humble Daily Bundle deal is a mere three games, each one looks like it’ll be deeper than it looks and well worth checking out. I’ve yet to play X3 Terran Conflict, I’ve played the other games in this deep space simulation lite series and while they’re not perfect, there’s a LOT to do and plenty to see as you planet-hop. I’ve never played the other two games in this bundle, but the two words Universe and Sandbox mean nothing but a HUGE game. Or at least it SOUNDS like one. Heck, it BETTER be after all that build up, huh? Anyway, Kinetic Void is an Early Access game, so it’s a work in progress… but a great looking one and yes, also looks quite peachy.

Now, you may NEVER get your ass to Mars or anywhere higher than your average airliner flies, but for ten bucks, these three are worth the trip. Well, whatever the distance from your mouse to monitor is, as these are digital games. Anyway, check these out on the Humble site and do your thing with the wallet or purse if you like what you see.

Humble Daily Sales? For TWO WEEKS? There Goes Someone’s Summer. And Fall. And Winter…

First up, The incredible DEEP SILVER Re-Bundle!:

Wow. I missed this big sale last time on a fantastic bundle of Deep Silver games and as I just walked in the door about twenty minutes ago and see it’s on again, I’m kicking myself hard because I’m too busy to play this lot even if I did jump on it and buy it up. But still, WOW. Pay a buck or so for four massive games, bump that up to $6.16 and add FIVE more games (that’s nine), but go for not broke and get TEN games for nine dollars flat? THAT’S the way to go here, considering the games in question and how much content you’re getting. All the Saint’s Row games are outrageous, stupid fun, Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide will appeal to your undead killing,get me the hell off this “vacation paradise” gone to hell in a hand basket side, Risen 2: Dark Waters sets you out as a pirate type in a big fantasy world, Sacred 2 Gold is an even larger and more fantasy world with some incredible replay value (and even more incredible difficulty if you try to run around like you’re the boss of everything), Sacred Citadel is a goofy throwback to arcade brawling/hack ‘n slash games of the past and finally, Metro 2033 is a bleak, unsettling, freakish and deadly trip to a future Russia where radiation, mutants and not enough survival supplies test your skills.

All that and yes, some of what you pay goes to the Child’s Play and American Red cross charities. So yep, you NEED this bundle even though I won’t be buying it. THIS time (again). Now, I’m wanting to see the next 13 days of sales as I eyeball my hard drives and probably dump a few older games for some nice new-ish ones. Just like you, too. Anyway, I’ll be back every day of this sale with an update (and hopefully earlier, at that!)…

This Humble Weekly Sale Is Packed Full Of Indie Hits (And Yes, You Can Hit Back!)

Decisions, decisions with this week’s Humble Weekly Sale featuring games picked out be the folks at TSG TV! Do you pay what you want for five classic indie games, jump up to six bucks or more for an additional six games or try your luck and pay ten or more for an even baker’s dozen? Did I mention you also get soundtracks for a bunch of these games too? Even better, if you decide to empty your wallet and go for a $40 or $100 purchase, you get some really sweet swag sent your way.

Oh, I can’t help you here at all, folks… other than to say a percentage of what you pay goes to charity (this time, it’s Direct Relief) and you’ll get some really great games here to dive into.

This Week’s Humble Weekly Sale: Roguelikes Like Rogues Like Me…

Gyaaah. Here I am, JUST writing about a fine and dandy new(ish) RPG I’m in love with (see previous post) and what happens? The folks at Humble Bundle read my mind and come up with an EVIL PLAN to take more money from me, grrr. And for a six buck minimum, I’m going to let them. As my backlog is so stupidly massive, I’ve only played a few demos of some of these and wanted to pick them up when I had the time (and yes, when there was an appropriate sale or something). Well, I guess the time is ripe for me to go ba-na-nas on this deal and add MORE games to the digital warehouse of stuff I need to get to as I free up time. Wah! Anyway, six games and five complete soundtracks all for the taking.

Oh well. Such is the life I lead. Click. Buy. BOUGHT. *Sob*, oh, my poor backlog…

Atlus Joins The Humble Weekly Sale Action – Knock Yourself Out For A Few Bucks….

While it would have been nice to see an ALL Atlus bundle, the three games here plus the Tripwire Interactive titles aren’t bad at all and for six bucks (which unlocks everything including the soundtracks), you’re getting a really nice deal in this Humble Weekly Sale. Of course, if you’re like me, this tempting set of titles only means your backlog of games you’ll need to play only grows like a beanstalk up to a giant castle full of MORE games (and a golden egg laying goose, perhaps?). And hey, as you can see above, Rock of Ages is insane and hilarious enough to pay six bucks for on its own. Both Zeno Clash games are a hoot as well. Anyway, you know what to do, correct?
