This week’s IndieGala Every Monday Bundle is quite a doozy. Rogue-like role-playing, point & click adventures, an odd-arty game where you can yell at what you’re playing it on and even some old school run to the left (mostly) and try not to die too much excitement. A buck sixty-nine for the first day, price goes up after that. Six complete games for that price is of course, a STEAL. So don’t sleep on this and wonder too later if you missed out on some cool stuff. Your Monday will get better if you get this bundle, guaranteed…

Humble Humongous Monday Bundle Deal For The Kids In All of Us!
Anyone remember Humongous Entertainment and their classic kid’s point & click adventure games? I sure do, and I was way too ancient to be playing most of these when they came out (but that didn’t stop me!). Anyway, this week’s Humble Bundle deal is a cool 24-hour ONLY Flash sale that’s family-friendly and FUN times guaranteed for all. Pay what you want for Putt-Putt Joins the Parade and Freddi Fish and The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds, or beat the average price of $12.72 for four more games (Putt Putt Goes to the Moon, Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It’s Dark Outside, Freddi Fish 2: The Case of the Haunted Schoolhouse and Spy Fox in “Dry Cereal”). However, for the BEST deal, drop and give Humble twenty (bucks) and get 28 FULL Humongous games! That’s EVERY Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish and Spy Fox game from the company, people! How can you pass THAT up? Nope, you don’t have to have kids at all, but I bet these fun and funny adventures will make you feel young at heart! Anyway, the clock is ticking… so grab this deal if you’re grinning away!
FREE GAME! Bundle Stars and PC Gamer Magazine Want A Million Of You On The Road!
So, it’s the final week of Bundle Stars and PC Gamer.com HUGE giveaway (five million game codes over five weeks) and this last one’s a doozy if you’re into racing simulations and haven’t played GTR Evolution, Race 07 and RaceRoom Racing Experience yet. Granted, that latter title is a free to play game that to date, only has a solo play component and I know some folks don’t like the idea of a la carte gaming despite its popularity. But the great thing about this FREE deal is you can avoid any game you wish in the deal or try it out and if you don’t like your unpaid-for gift, you can simply delete it from your hard drive and go do something else with that free time. If you want that code, just click on the image below and grab it.
Act FAST, though – free stuff doesn’t last very long if you’re too slow in claiming it!
IndieGala Monday Sale Brings You RPGs In A Few Forms, Plus…
(thanks, Dice17!)
From complete games to work-in-progress Steam Greenlight and Desura versions, this week’s IndieGala bundle is a great treat for genre fans looking to expand their horizons. Granted, not all of these six titles are role-playing games, but all fit the bill as fine indie games worth a look. The Tower is certainly a nice surprise, as it relies heavily on sound and your paying attention to said sounds in order to survive. I also like that the game is narrated by its protagonist as you play.
Block Story looks like an oddball Minecraft mod, but I like that it has a story and characters out of a RPG while allowing the crafting and such you’d get in Mojang’s game. Granted, the juxtaposition of block-based environments and realistic looking characters IS a bit jarring, but the game is fun to play and pretty simple to hop into. That and it allows you to play cross-platform on your PC and mobile device, which is a neat feature that makes me hope the developer has console plans for this one. As for the rest of the games in this deal (which is available for the next day at a mere $1.49 before the price increases), if you haven’t already clicked that link above, what are you waiting for?
Bethsoft’s Quakecon Steam Sale Is Pretty Killer Stuff…
Nope, I’m not at QuakeCon this year either, but that’s probably a good thing. While the thousands of fans there are drooling over new stuff and old, I can be tucking into some of these great deals Bethesda has put on sale on Steam now until the show closes. In addition, these other deals are going up during the remainder of the weekend:
· Friday: Wolfenstein: The New Order and DOOM Sale at 50-75% off
· Saturday: Fallout 3: Game of the Year, Fallout: New Vegas, and all Fallout: Classic Collection at 50-75% off
· Sunday: The Elder Scrolls Sale, with Elder Scrolls titles selling for 50-75% off
Of course, I have some of these titles already and a few too many in my backlog, so I most likely won’t buy a thing (this year, at least). On the other hand, as I always say – I’m not stopping YOU from diving into this pool of great games and coming up for air with less hard drive space and more games than you can finish in a comfortable amount of time…
Bundle Stars & PC Gamer Magazine Want YOU (and 999,999 Others) To Nab a FREE Game!
This week it’s Gun Monkeys, free of charge on Steam. Stop running around the room for a minute and pay attention for a second! If you want in on this wacky physics-based multiplayer online run ‘n gun shooter/platformer featuring procedurally generated levels and yes, monkeys with guns (and nope, it’s NOT at all related to the new Planet of the Apes film, thank you for asking), just click on over to the PC Gamer magazine site and in a few more clicks (provided you have a Steam account, facebook page and a PC capable of running this), it’s ALL YOURS! Yes, that’s a MILLION games codes. For FREE. Worldwide! Woooooo!
Humble 2K Bundle: Five Days Left To Score Too Many Great Games!
Well, since I missed the beginning of this Humble Bundle sale whenever it popped up (I’m way behind in my inbox perusing thanks to too many games and such I’m in the midst of playing and reviewing), it’s a pretty spectacular deal for anyone looking for older to more recent 2K-published games or some well-aged classics worth playing once more (or for the first time).
Sure, you can pay what you want for BioShock, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified and The Darkness II and be pretty pleased with that little deal. Bu I say drop at LEAST $8.15 or more bucks down to get an even better deal that adds BioShock 2, Mafia II, Spec Ops: The Line, X-COM: Complete Pack (which is FIVE complete games: X-COM: UFO Defense, X-COM: Terror from the Deep, X-COM: Interceptor, X-COM: Enforcer, and X-COM: Apocalypse) or heck, just throw down a digital twenty and add XCOM: Enemy Unknown and BioShock Infinite to the package.
It’s the middle of summer, so taking a short gaming vacation is a good idea if you have some free time and don’t feel like baking in the sun or dealing with nether region probing from some overzealous TSA agents. Hmmm… I’d bet you a penny that they’re all REALLY aliens from another planet, thus the rubber glove treatment and body scanners some of us have to experience when we travel. Ooooh, I think I’m onto something, but then again, that tinfoil hat I’ve been wearing when I do venture outside may be cooking my brain a little…
Anyway, go get yourself (or someone else) some darn good to darn great games, I say!
PSN Flash Sale MADNESS! Everything For A Buck? You’re Broke And You Didn’t Even Look Yet!
WOW. Well, you thought it was going to be a QUIET weekend, huh? Nope. Sony is running an absolutely crazy FLASH SALE on PSN with a bunch of PSOne Classics, PSP and PS3 digital downloads, all for 99 cents EACH. Yaaaaaaah! I had to seriously restrain myself to only buying Wild Arms and Wild Arms 2 before caving in and picking up Legend of Dragoon because I’ve never actually owned my own copy. I have the other two games here on disc, but now that I can take them on the road on my PSP or Vita, I’m happier about not having to stay home to play them (and reconnect the PSOne to the TV, dig out a memory card with the right save files and so forth and so on). Anyway, there are a LOAD of awesome titles up for grabs, no PS Plus account necessary or any other shenanigans. Just DEALS galore this weekend for anyone smart enough to pop onto PSN or SEN and poke around. So stopp reading this and go get some games!
GOG.com Wants to FILL Your Hard Drive With RPGs This Weekend!
Yikes. I have most of these already so I most likely will skip this sale, but if you’ve ever wanted to try a bunch of classic to current popular or not so popular but worth your time and money role playing games, well… here you go. 60% off oldies but goodies such as King of Dragon Pass, Lords of Midnight, and Doomdark’s Revenge.
Or you can go all Spiderweb Software with their also classics in the Avernum, Geneforge and Avadon games. Or perhaps you’d like some more modern classics to play with? Driftmoon, Unepic, Inquisitor, Legend of Grimrock, Shadowrun Returns, the Eschalon series, Sword of the Stars: The Pit and more!
The choice is all yours, of course. Grab one, a few, or grab them all and set your time machine so that you can play through all you’ve bought at your leisure before zapping yourself back in time to the present or perhaps the day before you bought them so you can say you didn’t spend a dime, but somehow still have all those games on your hard drive. Well, that’s how it would work in the movie version, folks. Anyway, you have about 48 hours to take advantage of this sale, so get to it if you see something there that floats your boat…
Bundle Stars Has TOO Many Good Deals. Please Take A Few Off Their Hands…
SERIOUSLY. I’ve bought a few inexpensive game bundles from them over time, but in looking at their page recently, I’m amazed at the rather wild deals they have there. You can pretty much click on any bundle in that link and get something amazing you’ve never played previously or may have played in the past and want to revisit. If I had to pick ONE bundle to snap up, it would be a VERY hard choice, but I’ll have to defer to the awesome Aftershock Bundle because of the spectacular classics it has. One of the best first-person games ever made, System Shock 2 is more than worth the $2.99 this deal will set you back, but you also get Wizardry 6 & 7 plus Wizardry 8, The creepy (and bloody) old horror adventure Harvester, the X-Com inspired strategy games UFO Aftermath and UFO Aftershock and the fantasy strategy game Ascension to the Throne. Finally, this particular bundle EXPIRES in just over 24 hours, so JUMP. ON. IT. and keep it from running away, I say!
I have most of these games already on disc, but this is a fantastic jumping off point for any gamer looking to update their library and get a bit of gaming history under their belt in a few cases. Something tells me I should do something silly here with one of these bundles for a lucky few of you readers, but we’ll see what I can come up with… soon.
