Four lovely pieces of artwork and fifteen in-game screens from the upcoming SoftMax-developed, Namco Bandai published RPG set to hit stores on October 13, 2009 – enjoy!

Sometimes all you need is a little push. But if you’re already there, you can always learn some more handy tips, right? Well, courtesy of Atlus and its upcoming PSP/PSPgo beat ’em up Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble, here you go:
At first, I didn’t know whether or not I should be too scared to look at the darn thing. Then I remembered that I’m NOT at all the superstitious type. So, I cheerily clicked on the Kuroeight link and… Hey! it’s a pretty slick deal of a teaser site. Cool – makes me want to see more of the game, which is a great thing, being a games journalist-type and all…
Of course, if yours truly drops dead in a week thanks to a visit from a creepy little girl with a freaky-looking doll, well… it’s been very nice to know you guys. Anyway, Calling is Hudson’s upcoming Wii-exclusive horror game, yet another for the console which has recently been turning into a paradise of sorts for genre fans. The game isn’t out ’til 2010, but you can get yourselves slightly weirded out (if you really want to) by clicking on that link yourselves.
Go on, I dare you…
Oooookay Corall: here’s what’s happening in the play stack this week:
IL2-Sturmovik: Birds of Prey (PS3)*
Katamari Forever (PS3)*
The Beatles: Rock Band (PS3)*
Fairytale Fights (Ps3/Xbox 360 – preview versions)
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (PSP – Atlus sent along review code, but I went and ordered the Collector’s Edition online a day or so previously)
Cid The Dummy (PS2/PSP)*
… plus a few other things I should have gotten this week which are coming next week Monday’s going to be a bit hectic, is all I’ll say…
I’ll get around to posting another set of answers to your random Lijit searches, some of which are getting kind of… interesting.
Back later!

PC gamers listen up! 2K Games and Gearbox Software’s upcoming open world post-apocalyptic Action/RPG/FPS hybrid with something like ninety-gazillion guns is now available as a pre-order on Valve’s always handy Steam game service.
I’ll be running an actual preview on this one shortly (it’s been on the radar for a while, but I haven’t had the chance to write anything yet). Based on the movies, images and art I’ve seen (plus Gearbox’ track record of quality games), Borderlands is looking very much like yet another must-buy release when it hits retail on October 20, 2009 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
PRE-ORDER BORDERLANDS ON STEAM NOW
Borderlands, the new RPS (role playing shooter) from Gearbox Software and Take 2, is now available for pre-order via Steam. Those who pre-order the title from Steam will save 10% off the regular price and be set to play the moment it is released. For more information click HERE
Hey wait… shouldn’t this one actually be Teaser Trailer # 1, given the content and “Coming in 5 days” tease at the end? Oops. Well, watch both trailers in reverse order then. Sorry ’bout that!
Risen is in stores NOW for PC. The Xbox 360 version is coming in 2010.

Oh Noes!!!! Actually, dear readers (and this IS the truth this time), Atlus is letting you know that the Demon’s Souls US servers won’t be active until the game’s 10/6/09 release date.
Now, SOME of you LUCKY pre-order-ers out there may receive your standard or collector’s edition before this date and should you try to jump online, you’ll simply get, according to the press release Atlus sent out this evening,
“…an immediate PSN error and have to start playing offline.”
Ulp (that big-ass font IS scary, huh?). Cue Demon’s Soul’s doomy-sounding atonal main theme played loudly enough to creep the cat right under the sofa. Poor Kitty…
In other words, be good and listen to the soundtrack (which is an awesome aural experience), read the hint book if you must and ogle the lovely art book as you sit in front of your lonely PS3. Of course, you can always just play the offline game for a bit until that clock strikes “Server’s UP!”
Anyway, be patient and really, really, really enjoy the game, as it’s spec-tac-u-lar, period.
And I bet some of you thought there wouldn’t be any cool stuff with this sequel… HA! Valve proves you wrong yet again… but in the nicest of ways (and without having to fly you out to Seattle at their expense). Now, be a good zombie killer and click on over to Steam or boogie on down to that favorite game emporium.
And er, you may want to hurry it up a bit, hedgehog – there’s something chasing you y’know… and DON’T startle the damn witch, please… (Shhhh!)
I bet you’re all excited as you click away over to to the PSN Store about the mind-blowing prospect of having a REALLY big box delivered by the Fed Ex guy, huh? Well, guess what: that’s not a REAL Nissan 2009 GT-R Spec V in Metallic Blue you’ll be getting, Speed Racer. Nope, it’s a great in-game ride you can stick in your burgeoning garage and use to rake in even more rides, though. With over 800 cars and 35 tracks, this warn up for GT5 is something I’ll be hooked into for a while, that’s for sure…
Oh, the free car deal expires on October 15, 2009 – so get your cash and get this NON-clunker for your PSP or PSP go today!
Ah, memories… Remember the good old days of arcade games such as BurgerTime, Heavy Barrel, Caveman Ninja and other Data East quarter munchers? well, thanks to Majesco, G-Mode and developer G1M2, if you’ve got twenty clams burning a hole in your Side Pocket come early 2010, you’re in for a treat.
Anyway, read up below, then start saving up those quarters, folks – this press release has your name written all over it. Screens underneath all the wordy stuff so you can reminisce about all that time you spent snagging those 1-UPs and trying to beat those Hi-Scores when you should have been hitting the books…
