It May Be A Holiday, But Bundles NEVER Sleep!

Okay, I’m still kind of in holiday mode as a trial just to see how I handle time off and it’s not going well. Argh. Thankfully, the fine folks at IndieGala, Humble Indie Bundle, Indie Royale, Bundle Stars and a few other places know how to get me back on track (sort of). IndieGala’s Every Monday sale this week has six games, Today’s Humble Bundle is ALL Total War series all the time and an extra year or so because it’ll take you at least that long to go through the epic Napoleonic saga they’ve got up for sale today, Bundle Stars has more Steam games than you can shake a stick at and Indie Royale has nine games up for a really sweet price. I’d write more, but you can click away and see for yourself. Hmmmm. I need a nap now – that was hard work for a day off!

IndieGala Every Monday Dishes Out Doujin For A Dollar (Just For A Day!)…

IndieGala Doujin It’s yet another Monday and you need some stupidly wonderful game deal to start your week out, right? Well, there are plenty out there, but I’d say this IndieGala Every Monday Bundle takes the cake in terms of bang for your literal buck. Pay a whole DOLLAR (just one!) for eight Doujin games (the price goes up tomorrow), get Steam and Desura codes for them and get ready to put yourself into a digital coma because you’ve now go too much to do on this otherwise oddball day where stuff happens just because it happens and your poor head is spinning by the time you’re home and wondering what the heck NEXT Monday will bring. The bright side says ANOTHER IndieGala sale, so keep that in mind as you snap up this deal.

IndieGala Friday Special Bundle: 7 Games, 1 Buck, 24 Hours. Math Is Fun, Isn’t It?

friday special bundle

As with these other 24-hour and then the price goes up sales at IndieGala, after 24 hours… the price goes up! So, get this seven game deal while you can, cheapskates. Granted, you COULD be nicer and pay MORE so more of that more than a dollar goes to charity, but hey – I’ll never tell you how to operate your business so you don’t tell me to mind mine. Anyway, whip out that digital wallet and go shopping. IndieGala’s got a LOAD of stuff to check out on their Gala Store as well. Hmmmm… so much for ONLY spending a dollar, right?

Dark Shadows: Army of Evil Or: With Some Games, Sometimes, You Get What You Pay For (Or Less!)…

Note: Some of you MAY need Dramamine or something in order to continue to enjoy reading this post.

Now, I didn’t buy Dark Shadows: Army of Evil on sale at the IndieGala Store… but I almost did until I decided to poke around the game’s website (yikes!) and later, watch this way too awesome and very outstanding, hilarious “review” by Jim Sterling. Oh,before you click away, it’s kind of NSFW because Jim curses up a storm (for very good reason, as you’ll see) AND the game may make you a bit motion sick if you’re easily affected by that sort of thing. Anyway, I like some awful games, but this is one that I’d probably have regretted (even at $2.39). Now, if YOU want to buy this, I certainly won’t stop you at all. Hey, I’ll even lend you my bucket so you can toss your cookies into it if that field of view starts making you queasy. Uncle Jim gets it right in his long take on this one, is all I’ll say. Wow.

IndieGala Every Monday Sale? You’re Trying To Seduce Me!

indiegala every monday 5_12 Yes, I’ve been watching The Graduate (again!), this time for an upcoming blogathon, but that doesn’t means this week’s Indiegala Monday sale isn’t batting its eyelashes and hiking its skirt up to show some ankle. Trying to tempt me to drop a mere $1.49 on a set of indie Steam titles including the recent Greenlight candidate Ocean City Racing (made by three people using Epic’s Unreal tech and zero budget):

Okay, I already bought that game on Desura a while back, but everything else I’d not heard of or want to take for a spin. At under two bucks, it’s tough to pass up and as that sale only lasts for under 24 hours until the price jumps up tomorrow. Bat and flash away, you tease! I’ll do the usual nonsense of flipping an invisible coin and deciding based on where it lands. Given that it’s a two-headed coin, I think I know what I’ll be doing later…

This IndieGala Bundle Will Drive You Around And Up A Wall. This Is Actually A Good Thing.

Every Monday Bundle 5-5-2014
It’s time to hit the road with this week’s Every Monday Bundle from IndieGala. Every game here has some sort of vehicle as your means of locomotion, so expect some realistic racing at its finest, some future flying taxi action, kart racing with allegedly cute characters and even a bit of blowing up stuff in a tank. You know the drill here: pay a LOW price for the first day, then the price jumps up a bit to a STILL affordable (but higher) point. Two bucks for six games is insane, especially as the aforementioned realistic racer (Race Injection) gives you three games and three expansions worth a heck of a LOT more than two bucks and is a pretty decent simulation racer if you happen to swing that way. Okay, let me shut up and let you get to the buying and playing and worrying about when you’ll get to playing everything you just bought. “Everything in moderation, nothing in excess” doesn’t exactly work with a big backlog, that’s for sure…

Indiegala’s Tiny Mix Bundle: Not So Tiny (Just The Price!), But Oh, It’s Quite a Mix…

INDIEGALA_sat_bundle

Yet another great IndieGala sale for charity? Cool! This time up, it’s a mix of JRPG-inspired goodness, a crazy (not for the kiddies!) shooter some will find oddly… comforting if they have lousy jobs and twisted revenge on their minds but aren’t the violent type, some puzzle games to keep you playing ’til the wee, wee hours and even a few tough as nails (or “old-school”) style action platformers. As usual, the price is a total STEAL (well, in a “I took your stuff, but left you what I thought was cool kind of way), you need a working Steam account and probably a time machine once you grab this deal so you can actually PLAY all these games at some point. Yeah, you know you want it, so go get it!

New IndieGala Sale Won’t Be Your Wallet’s Last Dream – 12 Games For Under 4 Bucks!

indiegala weekly

This new IndieGala sale is so tough to pass up, I bet some of you punched yourselves in the head when you tried to leave the page once you clicked on it. A a dozen games for $3.89 if you buy NOW (the price jumps to $5.19 tomorrow). Well, ten games now and two to be announced soon. It’s always something to see one’s Steam account bursting at the virtual seams when these bundles pop up and this one is pretty darn eclectic, that’s for sure. Retro indies, classic scary point and click adventuring, early access stuff and more, more more! As usual, I have some of these already (well, two), but my fingers are itching to click away and buy this one just for a few titles I’d like to take for a spin. Hmm… time for a coin flip, it seems…

The rest of you, you know what to do, right?

IndieGala Stress Test Bundle: Six Bucks (or Under) For Seven Games? Sure, Why Not?

indiegala stress test
We interrupt me about to keel over at Toy Fair from exhaustion for a special message: IndieGala has gone rogue, REPEAT: IndieGala has gone ROGUE! Actually, they’re conducting a little experiment in the form of a stress test that’s a bundle sale on seven games, six from Sigma Team and one from Ice Pick Lodge:

– Pathologic
– Alien Hallway
– Alien Shooter
– Alien Shooter 2: Conscription
– Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded
– Zombie Shooter
– Zombie Shooter 2

Yes, it’s a pay what you want deal, but the recommended amount is a measly six bucks (ten times less that what this bundle is work if it were purchased separately. Sigma Team’s simple, bloody shooters are fun run & gun Action/RPG-like hybrids that allow for what looks like hundreds of enemies on screen (of the space bug and undead varieties) and Ice Pick Lodge’s Pathologic is a bizarre adventure/RPG with three playable characters, a very unusual plot and some pretty creative character designs. Not a bad deal, the money goes to charity and you get o feel good about yourself after you spend that money. OK, back to my crazy day… I’m wiped out!
