Mezco’s Living Dead Dolls Resurrection Series 7: Chucky Gets Some Company…

LDD Resurrection VIIMezco Toyz is dropping some cool San Diego Comic-con International reveals on collectors in the forms of their upcoming Living Dolls Resurrection Series VII and  Living Dolls Resurrection Series VII – Variant Edition sets, both of which now available for pre-order directly from the company’s website.

As you can see, the “reborn” versions of  Revenant, Dahlia, Lust and Killbaby all look nice and ready to stalk your shelves at home (or haunt someone else you decide to gift them). Looks like Barbie’s going onto that bonfire after all. Just keep a window open… the fumes will make you end up looking like one of these hellish cuties if you’re not too bright…

“Oh My!” mimoco’s Mr. Sulu MIMOBOT Has My Phasers Set To Stumped…

blog_640x290_

Captain’s Log, Stardate 90994.46

Um… OK, kids… I got nuthin’ today. I was going to to a chuckle-filled double (or tribble)-entendre packed post about this cool new Mr. Sulu MIMIBOT USB Drive (available in 8 to 128GB sizes and chock full of awesome Star Trek content), but I think every possible GOOD joke has been thought up already by George Takei and I’d like to stay on his good side. Hey! you don’t need me to be funny to know that this is a really cool bit (well, a whole lot of gigabits, har har) of Trek collectible that’s useful and ready to save your red-shirted behind from mortal data dangers.

sulu3up

Yeah, you know you want one, but you need to beam your up NOW as there are only 1000 of these and I bet George has at least one on his shelf already. I know, I know… just don’t get all “That Which Survives” around that MIMOBOT (or George, for that matter). That’s kinda creepy…

Get (More) PSYCHO: Mezco Toyz Gets Mother And Marion All Dolled Up…

Mezco PSYCHO Dolls Eeek! I don’t know what’s more frightening: the fact that there are actually dolls based on Alfred Hitchcock’s seminal horror classic now available for pre-order or the the fact that there are people making some more room on their shelves for both of them with big grins on their faces. Granted, Mezco’s Living Dead Dolls line continually sells out and has legions of fans, so this set will most definitely do well with that crowd.

On the other hand, it’s a damn good thing these weren’t available as Mother’s Day gifts, as I’m trying to think who’d be the person giving one or both to their mom in a nicely wrapped-up package with an even BIGGER (and more sinister) grin on his or her mug. Not me, folks… although I can safely say that “My hobby is… stuffing things…”. Hmmm. If I ever tell you “You eat like a bird…”, you may want to start running in the opposite direction (and fast)…

BUY THIS! mimoco & Lucasfilm Say “May the 4th Be With You” With An R2-A6 Drive

R2-A6_press_release_725x237

OK, so I’m a wee bit slow. It took me a while to figure out this whole May 4th thing and the Star Wars connection. All this time I thought it was because George Lucas had a speech impediment. There’s nothing wrong with a little lisp, mind you, but there’s probably something up with YOU if you miss out on this cool SUPER limited edition R2-A6 MIMOBOT, available NOW at mimoco’s online shop.
3UP_R2A6_Photo_watermark

Like other MIMOBOT USB drives, this one comes in a few storage sizes (this one’s available in 8 to 128GB models) and also comes LOADED with cool bonuses such as desktop icons, avatars, wallpapers and more. The only thing you won’t get are any Imperial battle station plans, as those are in another droid entirely. Um, I WOULD say “this isn’t the droid you’re looking for”, but mimoco’s really nice PR person would probably beat me up (or hire a bounty hunter to do the deed). I’ll stay on her good side, as I have a “No Blasters!” rule around here that’s strictly enforced by me staying out of trouble. Anyway, go get yourself a new (and VERY useful) droid. You look as if you could use a bit more organization in your life, I say…

Aggronautix’ Debbie Harry Bobblehead Makes Me Feel Simultaneously Younger and Older…

aggronautix_logo

debbie harry bobbleheadWow. How’s this for bringing back those late 70’s and early 80’s music memories? Aggronautix is adding this cool Debbie Harry Bobblehead to their lineup of punk rock icons and I’ll bet it’s going to be a fast mover among some really dedicated Blondie fans out there. I’d say that Whomever sculpted this figure over at Drastic Plastic probably deserves some sort of medal, as it’s one of the better ones in Aggronautix’ nicely sized lineup. Of course, Debbie looks a lot better than G.G. Allin, Iggy Pop and a bunch of those other living and dead punkers. Yeah, Iggy is still rocking out these days, so don’t get in his face and tell him his Bobblehead is scary-looking to children and small animals.

Pre-orders are up now on the site and the figures will ship out in August, which is more than enough time for some of you to set up that shrine you’ve been planning for some time that just needed ONE more touch. And if you’re some kid asking “Um… Who’s Debbie Harry???” Pull up a chair, grasshopper and viddy this ancient live footage well:

Of course, that means your Wendy O. Williams Bobblehead has to get moved to a different location, as you don’t want it to see your new acquisition when she arrives in that striped box. I don’t think you want Wendy mad at you, so make sure you give her some space as well somewhere prominent…

mimoco and UGLYDOLL Want You To Stub A Big Toe And Drop Your Wallet…

Or something like that… I actually stubbed my toe while doing that little dance I usually do when reading the email from mimoco and it still hurts (ouch!). ANYWAY, that email happened to be announcing this new MIMOBOT in the fun UGLYDOLL X MIMOBOT line of mimoco’s stylish USB drives and it’s hard to hop around in pain and type something that makes much sense. Then again, my posts NEVER make much sense if you stop and think about it too much. OK, I’ll take the easy way out and let the image below do the talking:

big_toe

And of course, you DO know that clicking that image won’t make it get any bigger (I could have allowed this, but you’d probably either get scared or laugh yourself silly seeing a USB drive get so huge), but it WILL take you right to the mimoco site’s order page for it where you can drop some digital ducats on one of these (or more – there are only 2000 available, so leave some for the rest of the fans, please!) without lifting a leg to get up and head to a retail outlet just to find out this one’s all sold out (you can get one from the UGLYDOLL site as well). OK, it’s off to ice the toe and stop the hop. I need a nice seat, as I’m mighty beat!

Despicable Me 2 Toy Profile of the Week (8): New, Yet Nostalgic…

DM2 MONO PK PRD (Custom) DM2 OP PRD visual01 (Custom)

This week’s peek’s not plush or plastic,
But two board classics quite fantastic.
And one old viewer from the past
(like older models, built to last).

Hasbro’s grand Monopoly
goes DM2-themed, as you see
The rules, the same, the fun, so great
That special box, you just can’t hate!

And Operation! – another winner,
Make sure to play it after dinner
poking that Minion may gross you out
(But that’s subject to quite some doubt)

View-Master UpdatedThat Viewmaster, yes, it’s so cute
That Minion’s mug is such a hoot
From Fischer-Price and Basic Fun
they’re teaming up for everyone.

You’ll want to buy all of these things
(I hope your car’s got mighty wings)
Your home will be packed to the roof
Big DM2 Fan? You’re THE proof!

Despicable Me 2 Toy Profile of the Week (7): Put Your Hands (And Minions) Together!

2012-12 012 2012-12 026 2012-12 024

Two more minions of nostalgic design
Can soon be yours (and perhaps mine)
They’re made in quite a famous shape
(I say “Potato!”, not “Egg!” nor “Grape!”)

Minion Carl, he’s that hot tater tot
Build him as you like (and don’t spare a part!)
Well, you can’t quite make him double-faced
That would be weird (and quite hard to place!).

2012-12 012 2012-12 019 2012-12 021

And as for Minion Mr. Tim,
I’d say many will fall for him
He’s quite the master of disguise
With mustache, hat and beady eyes!

Both come to you from Thinkway Toys
And make great gifts for girls or boys.
And collectors with shelf space to spare
Will also want to grab this pair!

Toy Fair 2013: Mezco Toys Brings Chucky Back + Some Living Dead Dolls Banner News…

TF2013_banner

Mezco Logo B

Chucky smallSay a happy “Hello!” to Mezco’s 15″ Mega Scale Chucky doll. Well, say that happy “Hello” NOW, as once he arrives on your doorstep, it may be the last we see or hear of you. This latest incarnation, available for pre-order NOW and shipping out in September 2013, is decked out in his colorful Good Guys outfit, comes packing a knife (well, not a REAL knife, but you do have some in the kitchen he’ll get a hold of, right?) and will look quite good in your collection. You may want to add a steel-barred locked cage to your shelf, though. Plunk down $90, and he shows up a few months from now all ready for your collection. You can pretend that’s because he walked all the way from the factory, but do you REALLY want to take this fantasy that far?

CHUCKY banner

Me, I’ll just pass out and dream about Jennifer Tilly chasing after me with an inflatable axe in one hand and a Tiffany doll from Bride of Chucky in the other (hmm, does Mezco have one of these for sale?) because there are much more *fun* ways to leave the planet. Of course, the actual GF will be chasing me with a REAL axe if I keep this stuff up, so it may be a messy demise after all… Ouch, ouch, ouch!!!

As for that Living Dead Dolls banner, read on…
