BUY IT! MVD Entertainment Has Reptiles and Ants For Sale

The Color of Noise ROB002

Oh yep. I’ve since forgotten who introduced me to Amphetamine Reptile Records way back in the day, but it was a fine and more than a little insane musical journey that was great while it lasted. MVD Entertainment Group is getting me (and some of you) to relive those glory days of noise rock with what’s going to be one of the best documentaries on the subject, Eric Robel’s The Color of Noise in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack. This trailer gives you a little taste of what to expect when the doc appears on home video November 24 and even better, MVD and AmRep will also re-issue some of the best releases from the label’s catalog on vinyl and CD starting in December 2015 and continuing into 2016 and beyond. Grand Theft Auto V Limited Edition Soundtrack Box Sets Coming in December

GTV V LE Soundtrack Vinyl GTV V LE Soundtrack CD

You want proof that CD’s and vinyl LPs aren’t “dead”, folks? Well, come December 9, a mere 5000 each of these Grand Theft Auto V Limited Edition Soundtrack Box Sets will go on sale at selected music online and physical retailers worldwide and I’m betting they sell out completely AND become hot collectibles before the year is out. Hell, if I’d not sold off my record collection and player a while back, I’d be drooling all over that vinyl set more than I am already.

These two limited editions are coming to retail from Rockstar Games and Mass Appeal in celebration of the soon-to be released PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V (set to land at a game shop and download site near you November 18). PC gamers need to wait until January 27, 2015 for their version of the game, but I guess a few of them will want this set as well to keep them grooving during the delay… Continue reading

It’s Record Store Day Tomorrow. Rob Zombie’s Got A Real Doozy For You…

This is not only 1000% awesome, it’s really damn funny as well. How so? Well, you KNOW this will fly right on over the noggins of the digital-only kids who’ve never seen a vinyl disc spinning with a needle on it before and they’ll think ALL records played this way back in the day. Ah, the follies of youth… Anyway, if you need to find a record store near you, just clicky-click on this link and get on down to get yours. I bet that’s a damn good track Rob’s done… Hmmm, I wonder what happens when you play it FORWARDS? Oh, someone will find out. Hopefully it’s just a couple of tickets to The Lords of Salem that pops up at that person’s doorstep, heh…
