Review: Epic Dungeon
Developer: Eyehook Games
Publisher: Microsoft
# of Players: 1
ESRB Rating: None
Score: A+
In this year of huge-budgeted “Triple-A” releases that get massively hyped midnight launches, expensively overblown limited edition bundles and millions of juiced-up fans blowing each other away in online matches while ignoring the single-player aspect, Eyehook's brilliant (and brilliantly simple) Epic Dungeon crushes them all with its no-nonsense approach to challenge and pure fun. For a measly 80 Microsoft Points (one whole dollar!), you're getting a tough game with infinite replay value, a great “retro” look and overall, an absolute must-play for anyone who considers him or herself a true gamer. Easily worth twenty times its cost or more, don't let the cheap-ass price point fool you into thinking this is some play once and dump forever bit of fluff. A minor bug or two aside, nothing should stop you from finding out just how awesome and addictive this gem of a game is.
Review: Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare

Platform: PS3 (also on Xbox 360, PC)
Developer: Rockstar San Diego
Publisher: Rockstar Games
# of Players: 1 (online 2 – 4)
ESRB Rating: M (Mature)
Score: A+
“Before we resume with a bang and boom…”, let's just say that Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is absolutely going to be the best ten bucks (or 800 Microsoft Points) you'll spend on any DLC this year. The zombie-packed expansion makes a great game even greater, packing in a decent amount of single-player content and some fun multiplayer action while transforming the familiar Old West setting into an undead filled wasteland that needs a bit of purification. If you've somehow managed to miss Red Dead Redemption, it's definitely a must-buy and this expansion makes it even more so.
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Hands-On

Adding zombies to any game seems to be the one way to assure interest and indeed, reasonable sales once gamers get wind of the undead aspect creeping into their favorite games. Rockstar Games has something wicked this way coming for Red Dead Redemption fans this winter with the release of the Undead Nightmare expansion for the PS3 and Xbox 360. At this year's New York Comic Con, thousands of gamers got the chance to go hands-on with the upcoming DLC and walk away with a cool poster and a chance to score a pack of extremely limited edition playing cards. UN will feature a solid single player campaign plus yet to be announced multiplayer features, some amazingly creepy zombies of different speeds and a number of missions to tackle set in and around familiar locations from the main game.
Random Release News (Or If It’s Tuesday, It Must Be DLC Day…)
Yikes – plenty of new games and games news hit the inbox today, so instead of individual postings, a rapid-fire approach is in order. In general, August is flying out with a big ol' bang and September is rolling in with an even bigger set of booms. Here we go with part one:
Clash of the Titans Weekly DLC Updates Listing

Fans of the Game Republic-developed recently released movie game Clash of the Titans can expand their hack 'n slash adventures with Perseus even further thanks to the new DLC Namco Bandai has started dropping onto PSN and Xbox LIVE as of a few days ago. Yes, this would have gone up on the 25th, however, my overzealous spam filter ate the press release and some other important mail. I happened to poke around in there looking for some lost stuff earlier today and well, here you go…
EA & BioWare Reveal Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station Content Pack
EA and BioWare continue to generate Mass Interest in the upcoming Mass Effect 2 by adding more download content to the original game (which in turn, gives folks like me yet another fine reason to hop back into the boots of Commander Shepard for a few more hours). Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station, the latest add-on for the original game is now available as a downloadable pack for the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft points via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The PC version of the content pack will set you back $5 and can be purchased through EA’s online store. By the way, the 1.02 patch for Mass Effect is required for the installation of Pinnacle Station and is available over at BioWare’s web site. First things first and all that…
So what’s in the pack? Glad you asked – let’s go to the press release…
Megan Fox Will Kindly Beat Your Ass Over Xbox LIVE This Saturday…
No doubt some of you have already had that dream many times before: You’re setting up a match over Xbox LIVE when you see a really familiar name pop up as a gamertag… “Could it really be HER?” you think and yes, it turns out is IS. Now’s your chance, man – make your move! After the usual awkward introductions, the fun really starts.
You get your game face on (grrrrrr!) and after taunting each other for a few minutes, you’re both finally ready for some real action. Megan makes a mean comment about your lack of skills with possible pointed references to your family pet, a jar of Nutella and an electric kitchen device. “Oh yeah… well, bring it!” you yell into your headset. And Megan, sitting in the air-cooled comfort of wherever she is will no doubt be shaking her fist at the screen before she yells back into her headset: “It’s BROUGHT !! POW!!!”
Then, you wake up and realize you’ll never, ever, EVER get to game with Megan Fox. Your life pretty much sucks… until today, that is…
