Simply beautiful is all I can say (well, I can’t wait to play it is something else I’ll say). Like ICO and Shadow of the Colossus before it, The Last Guardian looks to be an instant classic when it’s finally released.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution E3 Trailer
Nice. “Rabbit baby wants, Rabbit baby gets!” Even though the specter of Spector is non-existent in this followup, the game is looking mighty good thus far in this teaser. Square Enix needs a mega-hit that’s not just another Final Fantasy game and this could be it…
Review: 3D Dot Game Heroes
Developer: Silicon Studio/From Software
Publisher: Atlus
# of Players: 1
ESRB Rating: T (Teen)
Official Site
Score: A
Without a doubt one of the best “retro” games to date that’s not a homebrew creation, 3D Dot Game Heroes perfectly blends old-school gameplay elements and today’s console technology with the end result being an instant classic no PS3 owner should miss. It’s easy to look at screen shots or poke around on a message board and read about simplistic comparisons to The Legend of Zelda or other favorite 8-bit adventure RPGs, but the game is a lot more rewarding than a mere clone if you know your gaming history. Obvious plot and gameplay elements aside, 3DDGH is a pretty darn funny trip through the 8-bit era with a decidedly modern spin.
TRON: Evolution Teaser Trailer
Hmmm… This definitely looks pretty interesting and it’s a great teaser, for sure. I’m ancient enough to recall seeing the original film a few times during it’s first run back in 1982 and catching it on cable as many times as possible back in the day. Propaganda Games might have a sleeper here, provided the game goes beyond what the film brings to the table.
Left 4 Dead 2 TV Spot #2
Nice. 10 million zombies, huh? Given the pace of the recently released demo, it sure feels like it! November 17 is zooming up faster than you think…

Dragon Age: Origins Update: Oghren (Plus Gold!)

It’s all done and gone gold, folks. Dragon Age: Origins has gone into production, so those final retail copies are only a short time away from your hot little hands. BioWare has also announced a DA:O social network which you’ll be able to read more about below this week’s character update. Anyway, without further adieu, heeeeeeere’s Oghren!
Duck & Cover, Daffy! Mastiff’s Great American Bird Hunt Is Coming in November
Now, I could make the requisite “Dick Cheney is an unlockable character” joke, but it’s too damn obvious of a poke at the ex-VP (besides, he might show up on my doorstep). Anyway, if you’re not a PETA member of someone falling off the couch while headed to the phone to call your congressman to complain about whatever, this one actually looks as if it’ll be a lot of fun. Yeah, it’s looking like a more modern version of Nintendo’s classic Duck Hunt, but hey… if it worked back then, it’ll work just as well now.
Of course, this is from a lifelong Noo Yawkuh who’s barely set foot in the woods except for a few years of summer camp and a few trips with forest-friendly pals for camping trips too long ago. Anyway, Cover art, press release, game trailer (that music is a hoot!) and some nice screens below the jump.
