Here you go – Box art and screens for each of the console and handheld versions of WBIE's upcoming action game. When the game was initially announced last year, there was to be a PlayStation 2 version as well. However, I'm guessing that one has been canned (well, at least in the US) as there were no images sent along with what's here. Ah well…

While it's not coming out until 2011, Capcom's mighty little DS masterpiece is looking better and better each time I've seen it. Fans of the PS2 and Wii versions should be prepared to fall for the beautifully stylized visuals and I'm gathering that the DS stylus will be an even better fit for drawing with than the Dual Shock 2 or Wii Remote. Hell, I'd buy a dozen just to hand out as gifts just so folks can see just how cool the game is. Take a look at these Gamescom screens and see for yourself:
Super Scribblenauts Headphones Pre-Order Bonus

And I though Maxwell’s rooster hat from the first game was cool. PLUSH headphones that work. In camo, to boot! I have to have a pair just to wear while playing the game (as I’m one of the few humans left on the planet that actually doesn’t listen to music through headphones anymore while out in public).
Super Scribblenauts spells its way into stores on October 12, 2010. Be there or be S-Q-U-A-R-E.

A little late, but better than never! Alrighty then – here are 20 EOII screens PLUS tantalizing peeks at the 60-page pre-order art book (go pre-order the game if you want this bonus, duh!) and the very handy fold-out poster (which doesn’t require any pre-ordering as it’s packed lovingly inside the game case). Atlus just loves you now, don’t they? Remember folks, September 21, 2010 is riiiight around the corner…
(Hmmm… I could have done a lame-o “Can You Spot The Differences Between The Two Photos?” joke with those two pics, but that’s a wee bit too obvious…)
Etrian Odyssey III Trailer/Story Videos
Two more excellent EOIII videos for you. Yeah, yeah – I know about the book. I’ll post images from the pre-order book when I get back to the home office. All this running around lately has been a bit hellish in terms of getting stuff done, that’s for sure…
Etrian Odyssey III Combat/Naval Exploration Videos
Two more EOIII videos for your viewing pleasure. Expect some nice pre-order goodness for this one as well…
Etrian Odyssey III Videos: Character Creation/Mapmaking
Playing a bit of catch-up here, so you get two (*click!*), TWO videos from Atlus’ upcoming DS epic, Etrian Odyssey III. I’ll post the screens and pre-order goodies later. Just grab a cuppa, sit back and enjoy. Hell, go finish the second game if you haven’t already – the September 21, 2010 release date is right around the corner and this new one looks like it’ll be even more massive than the previous installments!
Review: Alice In Wonderland (DS)
Platform: Nintendo DS
Developer: Etranges Libellules
Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios
# of Players: 1
Rating: E10+ (Everyone 10+)
Score: A
When it comes to licensed movie games, the DS usually gets the short end of the stick and that stick usually has a particularly blunt end. With much less memory to work with, movie games squeezed onto the handheld (generally in record time) often show off the handheld’s limitations rather than its strengths. On the other hand, every so often you’ll see games that take what the system can do and combined with more stylized visuals and truly fun gameplay, manage to impress as much as (or more than) the console versions. Review: Need For Speed NITRO (DS)
Developer: Firebrand Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
# of Players: 1 (2 – 4 Single Card/Wi-Fi)
Rating: E10+ (Everyone 10+)
Official Site
Score: A
If you’re a fan of racing games on the DS, you can absolutely rely on Firebrand Games to cook up something really cool and incredibly fun to play that also allows you to tap into your creative side. Need For Speed NITRO is another superb racer from the team that nicely translates much of what made the Wii version so cool while adding a few DS-exclusive elements such as Single and Multi-card play for up to four players. While the game doesn’t have exactly the same deep paint scheme editor found in its console brother, there is a mostly great color and decal creator that will keep the arty gamer quite occupied as he or she blazes through the game’s wild courses.
