Yeah, yeah, Thor wasn't all that hot (except for the DS version, which rocked in an solid, reliable old-school way – go WayForward!), but let's move on, shall we? It looks as if Sega has a pretty smoking 2011-2012 lineup, as you'll see from the long list below the jump.Read more »

Aliens: Colonial Marines Trailer Delivers The Goods (Mostly)…
Hmmm… let’s see now – an Alien game by the folks who brought you Half-Life on the PS2, Brothers in Arms, Borderlands and Duke Nukem Forever (among other things)? I smell a hit, but you’ll all need to keep sniffing that air until Spring 2012 when Sega ships this out. Gearbox is on a roll, that’s for sure…
Anarchy Reigns Character Profile: Leo is Back!
Platinum Games’ online enabled brawler is Sega’s second chance and getting it right in terms of publishing a decent multiplayer beat-down (the first was the woeful Iron Phoenix), but it looks as if Platinum is going for the gold here. I’d say that Leo is one more AR character you’d not want to come across in a dark alley, broad daylight or any other situation unless you were being very well protected.
Binary Domain Gameplay Footage
Sega shoots out this gameplay trailer from its upcoming sci-fi action/shooter. Looking pretty cool, so far… we’ll have to see how it all comes together with some hands-on time…
Sonic Generations Trailer
Hot on the heels of the game announcement yesterday, here’ s a peek at Sonic Generations gameplay. Set for a winter release, this PS3 and Xbox 360 game is looking to be the definitive HD Sonic experience (provided it all gels together everything its trying to do right and gets the fans happy). I’m liking what I see, that’s for sure… and Classic Sonic is back on the block!
Sega Knows How To Throw A Par-Tay…

Yakuza 4 hits stores on March 15, 2011 exclusively for the PS3 and Sega held a little bash for the game in downtown NYC last night. The game is indeed ridiculously DEEP and nicely done from what I got to play. I think I ate more sushi than I’ve had in my entire life, but probably not…
Anyway, a review will go up once my copy of the game arrives and I get a good chunk of time into it.
Anarchy Reigns Character Profile: Big Bull
He’s big, bad and can beat down tall buildings in a single bound. Probably not, but I wouldn’t want to try and stop him, that’s for sure… Here’s the third character profile video for PlatinumGames’ upcoming online brawler. While I’m loving all these movies and I think the game looks amazing… I really STILL want a single-player offline mode (whine, complain, nag, nag nag…). Anyone one else think a fighting game like this could use one?
Anarchy Reigns Character Profiles: Zero & Sasha
POW! PlatinumGames is pretty much making an instant smash with their upcoming online multiplayer fighter for Sega and these two character profiles show off the highly stylized brawlers and a lot of gorgeous animation in a few brief seconds of in-progress gameplay. I still very much want an offline single player story mode, but we'll see what happens as the game progresses. If there's a company that follows its own drummer, it's Platinum, so I'm not holding out hope for a solo mode…
Conduit 2 Weapons Trailer (Plus a Few Other Things)
Here's a look at some of the many different weapons from Conduit 2, High Voltage's followup to their groundbreaking Wii FPS. Sega of America has confirmed a new March 22, 2011 release date for the game, which is indeed a good thing. Since I'm in a really good mood (being the only person I know who's never played Angry Birds on a device I own is part of that), I may as well run the other two game trailers – enjoy!
Sega to Release Dreamcast Collection on Xbox 360, Windows PC

Well, alright (with a minor gripe) – Sega is tapping back into its Dreamcast library and will release a collection of four classics for the system as both a retail packaged disc for the Xbox 360 and a digital download for Windows PC. The simply titled Dreamcast Collection will be available on February 25, 2011, in Europe and February 22 in North America and feature Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5. According to the press release, both versions will have enhanced graphics while only the 360 version will have Achievements as well as online leader board support.
“The Dreamcast console is still remembered as a pioneering console for online gaming,” commented Gary Knight, VP of Marketing at SEGA of America and SEGA Europe “We are delighted to be able to offer to our large community of dedicated fans a collection such as Dreamcast Collection for them to enjoy old favorites on this Xbox 360 and Windows PC.”
True… but none of those games in this collection were online enabled in terms of gameplay as far as I remember (he said, looking at his DC collection). That and, for the love of Knuckles… why no PS3 version?
