Game of Thrones Season 3 Enemies Trailer: The Friend of My Enemy Is Probably Not Surviving The Season…

I was going to use “Keep your friends close and your enemies six feet under” as the title of this post, but I flipped a mental coin (hey, I may be just about broke this month, but I do have some change of mind left) and that other one won out. Anyway, it’s almost here and doesn’t look as if will disappoint much, if at all. Then again, a good episode of GoT SHOULD be disappointing once it’s over simply because you didn’t want it to end and you’re left with your eyes and mouth wide open because something really innnnnteresting happened that you least expected. Well, that’s better it happens in the show than in real life… unless it’s the Publishers Clearing House van pulling up and you’d forgotten all about that stupid sweepstakes you filled out while half-drunk on some wine one late night…

Game of Thrones Season 3 Teaser: That Beast on Your Back is the Least of Your Troubles…

As predicted, HBO is really rolling out the Game of Thrones promo war-wagon (and probably crushing a few lesser shows’ heads in the process), as we get two teasers in as many days. I expect a few more before the new season kicks off, but none of these will faze me either way. I actually prefer to go into each season cold and allow each episode to wash over me and do what it does best. I’m not one for the stupidity of betting real money in Vegas or wherever on who “lives” and “dies” on this or any show, as hey, I can separate my real life realities from my fake realities in TV shows I like just fine. That and my hard-earned dollars can go towards something a good deal more sensible (like food, for one thing)…

Game of Thrones Season 3: War Is Absolutely Good For Ratings (Say It Again!)

Thirty more seconds of hot tease-y Game of Thrones trailer action from HBO. It’s a good thing they didn’t go the corny route that I did in the poorly paraphrased post title above and use that great old song as the music for this trailer. Well, it would have been funny (but not that funny), the fans would have marched on HBO headquarters and demanded a few heads on pikes and Twitter would have sprouted a third eye and flown right off the Internet. Or something like that. Oh, hell – I know you’re not even bothering to read this with that distraction up above and all, so I won’t even TRY hard to entertain you. The end of the month is rolling up soon enough, folks and I’ll be just like you, glued to the boob tube and not ranting on YouTube about whatever else is less interesting.

Game of Thrones Season Two Recap: In Case You Missed It (Pay Attention Next Time!)

Roberta'sOK, OK… I was “off” most of yesterday and today thanks to last night’s Brooklyn shenanigans. Some art gallery visiting, meeting up with some friends I hadn’t seen in over 10 years and a three-hour wait for Roberta’s Pizza, which was a looooong damn wait for anything, but well worth it as that’s some REALLY good pizza they make (… people wait for). Anyway, I had a birthday party of sorts to attend today, so I haven’t had the chance to get in my minimum five or so daily posts. Ah well. Here’s that GoT recap show I posted about a few days back. Tomorrow is another day (and I’ll be making up lost progress then. Off to catch some rest after I watch the Shameless episode I missed.

Game of Thrones Season 3 Vlogs: Behind the Scenes (Before The Scenery’s All Chewed Up)…

Annnnd while you’re camped out in front of the TV for Season 3 of GoT to fire up your living room (or wherever you watch this show), Here’s a peek at some making of video logs, but I’m not FORCING you to watch these, you know. Hell, you may already have seen them if you’re one of those fans of the show scouring the Internet for every scrap of info. Hey, I try here at DAF, I try. And all without charging you a red cent! Just doing my job, folks… just doing my job…

OK, If You Want A 16-Bit Cliff Notes Version of Game of Thrones, Here You Go…

Amusingly enough, I’m sitting here and listening to some people talk about the new season, all guessing and overspeculating their hipster glasses and skinny jeans off when one of them mentions the good Doctor Octoroc and his amazingly funny GoT mock video game video he cooked up for Collegehumor.com from about a year or so ago. In case you haven’t seen it yet, the edited version is above. If you want to see it as intended, just clicky-click HERE, sit back and prepare to fall off something onto something (preferably soft). I’d post the video directly, but like the books and show, it’s kinda ranuchy (well, in a Super Nintendo kind of way). You’ve been warned (but you’ll laugh yourself silly anyway)…

Game of Thrones Season 3 Extrended Trailer: A Little More Suspense, A Few Less Questions…

Fortunately, for my old-school ass (and yours if you agree, not that I’m trolling for compliments or anything, grrrr!) I’m not one of the more overly obsessive fans of the show who HAS to know everything before it happens nor do I want to be bashed over the head before the show kicks off its new set of tales with spoiler-packed teasers that make half the season predictable as sticking water in the freezer and getting ice back at some point. Of course, trying to predict how this season will go will be like sticking water in that same freezer and expecting frozen roses to pop out a few hours later, but hey – a lot of suspense goes a really long way and makes the wait more than worthwhile…

Game of Thrones Season 3 Recap Trailer: Paying Attention Makes You Wiser (Proof Below)

Let’s see how the human brain works, kids! “Duh… Wait, how can you have a recap show if the season hasn’t started yet?” Oh, wait… “Duh, OK, I get it!” (did you hear the wheels turning REALLY slowly, class?)… Memo to self: don’t post a video and comment until AFTER you watch it (Brain: “But where’s the fun in that? I want to be JUST like every other Internet troll with a grudge and too much time on their hands!”) Or something like that. Yes, it’s been a very long day (but not long enough, as I still have a ton of stuff to write about). Um… consider this a commercial break, folks. That I don’t make a dime from, by the way. Hey, I’d kill to be ON Game of Thrones, but with my luck, my character wouldn’t last an eighth of an episode before getting an arrow to the ass. That and I don’t think Winterfell needs a traveling bard type with a brain full of bad puns and worse jokes popping up anytime soon…

HBO’s Phil Spector Trailer: Earplugs For The Wall of Sound (With A Pair of Blinders Too)…

Call me crazy, but I find this whole need to recapture every big media frenzy tale that really doesn’t need to be retold because someone actually died as a truncated TV or big deal high-budget movie presented once completed as “based on actual events”, “inspired by a true story” or however else any flick that mixes made up for extra oomph and actual things that happened to be kind of stupid. Granted, movies have been doing this for decades, but it’s getting so damn predictable that anyone committing a crime worthy of a few too many news cycles has practically got MADE FOR TEE-VEE tramp-stamped in big type (and misspelled exactly like that) just where you’d expect.

That said, I bet this will be a total hoot, between Mamet’s tendency to write his dialog all too well and Pacino’s tendency to be Pacino in crazy mode with some of his more out-there performances. On the other hand, this might actually be good… but I really don’t give a flying rat about the subject matter. So…. will I watch this? No. Or to be more truthful, Hell no (but if it’s reviewed as unintentionally hilarious, well… I lied and there goes two hours when it’s rebroadcast)…

Game of Thrones Season 3 Trailer: It’s The Little Things In Life…

Case in point: It’s a good little thing this isn’t premiering THIS weekend, as I’d never get a darn little thing thing done. Hell, I’ll be shoving myself into the freezer with an extra blanket to hibernate so I’m fresh as a frozen daisy for that first episode of the new season, but I’ve got too much to do in March as it is. I’ll just pretend I didn’t see this little thing, “accidentally” flip to the show on the 31st and act like a surprised little thing that the show is on so early. It worked fine like that last season… (sings) “Little things mean a lot…”
