Busy Week, Part 6 (No Relation to Leonard)…

Man, time flies when you’re having fun (or not)… Lots of reviews, a preview and some other stuff hopping and happening here. The Internets blew up for a bit around these parts, so I’m a tiny tad backlogged. Never-the-less, my Demon’s Souls review is in progress and should be done by the end of the week, WET is coming (don’t even THINK what I think you’re thinking and if you’re not thinking it, don’t even start to…) as are a few other new games.

Geeeez, it’s a lot of work. Where’s my helper monkey? Loyal secretary? “Bueller?… Bueller?”

Dead Ring O’ Death Temprarily Killls DoD Review!

Did you hear a really loud scream this morning around, say, 5:07 or so? Amusingly enough, my 360 rolled over and RRODied this morning, which meant I had to snag another (grrrr). Anyway, my Darkest of Days review is going up later this evening. Stay tuned.

*UPDATE* ding! Your review is now ready!

Dealing Death Due to Double D’s of Doom and Destruction!

In English: a reviews update: Darkest of Days showed up yesterday (it’s really good so far) and Demon’s Souls is on the way as well (I’ve pored over the manual and a few other pieces of cool stuff from Atlus and I know I’ll be VERY busy for a while with this one). Got a few DS, Wii and PS2 entries to add next week and in the coming weeks as well…

I’ll be back later with a few impressions… that is all!

News: Disney Buys Marvel (*Yawn*) And Why You Should Just Go About Your Regularly Scheduled Lives…

I was taking a few days off for some personal stuff, but given all the “Hulk Smash!” *rage* I’ve seen and heard about this, I’m back today for this one post. I’ll resume regular updates on Wednesday.

First of all, folks: Disney more likely than not isn’t going to interfere in any MAJOR print successes Marvel is currently having. Why mess with censoring any part of the publishing arm that’s financially successful (and lose massive sales in the process)? If things get to that point, the sales figures will show and Disney will have to let Marvel continue to create the books their way. Unless of course, this is some sort of cosmic justice at work toward Marvel’s mistreatment of Jack Kirby and other artists in the “distant” past many of today’s comics fans have little to no idea about. Update: although given some of the artwork I’ve been seeing online since the announcement, a lot of folks are probably giving Disney some ideas the artists who drew up these pieces might regret…

DAF Q & A Updates!

Since I’ve gotten a few e-mails about the Q & A’s I’ve set up, here’s a follow-up or two to fill you in:

1. I’m still waiting for the fine (and very busy) folks at Xseed to get those Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga Q’s I sent off a while ago back this way. But remember, folks: Xseed is comprised of a really small team with multiple projects going simultaneously for the Wii and other platforms.

2. I have an interview coming back this way soon with a few team members at Big Blue Bubble, the folks working on Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, a great looking first-person RPG for the Nintendo DS set to be published by Aspyr. It would have been back sooner, but another site or magazine with more clout bumped my former “exclusive” so they could get their scoop first. And so it goes in this industry…. ah well.

I’m also working on a few other potential interview subjects for the near future – stay tuned…

Big Ol’ Update On the Way…

OK, folks – I’m starting to FINALLY get to writing more about the games on my loooooong Post-E3 list to the left. Fear not, all you searchers and researchers (and thanks to Lijit for their awesome map feature!), soon you’ll be able to click on a game you’re looking for and it’ll be here in some form or another.

Expect a few updates this week and next and onward as I post galleries and more previews. Some of this stuff will be post-dated, as I started a bunch of articles a while ago, but they’ll all get put up once I make time to edit and get more images. Stick around…
