Vitameatavegamin Could Have Been the Red Bull of the 1950’s…

(thanks, Ruthyramon!)

Well, it it actually existed, that is… I think it’s Lucille Ball’s birthday or it just passed or something. My crystal ball is cracked and I’m too lazy to check the internet. Wait… I’m ON the internet. Hold on, blast you… Aha! It’s August 6, 1911, so I’m a day early. Good! Happy Birthday, Lucy!

Shaky Cam Video Alert!: Some More Batmobile Stuff…

Oops. Go grab some Dramamine – I’ll wait. OK, you’re back? Good. I’d almost forgotten to upload these awful Batmobile videos from the Mezco Toyz event back on June 25th,so here you go. Thankfully, they’re all short and easily digested (*burp!*). I’m laughing like a maniac in one of those clips because of the absurdity of how small the entrance to the Ripley’s Believe it or Not space is and the fact that so many people were cramming in that it was hard for anyone to get pictures or video.

I think I had another two or three movies I deleted that were nothing but hands with cameras filming more hand with cameras as that Batman theme looped endlessly, but I deleted those because I was laughing even MORE hysterically in those films. I’d have them subtitled in some comic book font if I had decided to run them, though. Some sort of Joker laugh repeating “HA HA HAAAAA!” over and over…

Twisty Tuesday Takes Its Toll… Tomorrow’s Time to Tackle Trouble!

(Thanks, SpaceComics!)

Feh. Between the rain, humidity and the library being shut today (well,at least they’re supposedly updating their “technology” so perhaps the connection speed will be a bit less laggy than it’s been these last few months?), it’s be a hell of a slog trying to work. Well, I did get a formerly busted computer up and running and some stuff shipped out that needed to get on its merry way before tinkering around with a new game for a bit and starting up a small bit of artwork before rolling in here to post. Anyway, like the fold-able female in this clip, I need to be more flexible about certain things so I can just get more stuff DONE that I’d like to do. I got a nice kick in the pants thanks to Henry Miller’s 11 tips on writing (and NO, I’m not going to write like him, silly – I like his takes on inspiration and getting stuff done) and between that and some other kicks to the noggin and other parts (ouch!), I think I’m a bit more energized for the remainder of the week…

Random Music Battle Time: Blur vs. Liberace (Well, They Both Kind Of Win)…

While waiting for a game to download the other day, I randomly Googled something and got something else entirely, and with a little brain work and rewriting here’s one result of that mistake: Song 2 by Blur, meet Song 2 as performed by Liberace. Yeah, it was a tough battle, folks… but believe it (or else), the results were a dead tie at the end of the voting. Well, actually, one half of my brain was bouncing up and down and the other was laughing, so that’s how that all worked out.

Liberace DVDOf course, Liberace gets the last laugh (and probably wins the bigger prize) because hell, he was a lot more talented (and funnier) throughout his long career than Blur will most likely ever be (or have been… hey, are they still even around?). That and you won’t lose your hearing from listening to too much of his music with the volume way up (well, depending on your age, you probably have some hearing loss if you’re a Liberace fan, ha ha).

Anyway, the fine folks at Shout Factory and Timeless Media Group have actually just released Libreace: The Ultimate Entertainer on DVD this week, so you can go see for yourself (c’mon, be brave! Expand those musical horizons! I won’t tell…) for a mere $13.98, which is a bargain considering what’s on the disc. Hey, get it as a Mother’s Day gift for someone old enough to appreciate that man’s work and you’ll get a few cheeks pinched afterward (make sure you’re sitting sown when you hand over that package)…

And hey, I’m betting Michael Douglas will make me fall of the couch laughing in a few with that HBO biopic coming up… we shall see, I suppose…
