Man, this year is totally NUTS (nuts, I say!) in terms of killer games releases. Between Dark Souls, Skyrim, Hunted, the Divnity II remix, all the PSP RPGs from Xseed and other companies and a ton of other stuff in all sorts of genres that I want to play until my eyeballs fall out, I’m not only going to need a damn time machine, but an army of clones and a bunch of HDTV’s and game consoles here. Anyone want to lend me a few million dollars? I’ll pay you back, eventually…
Capcom gets rolling with this brief taste of the upcoming motorcycle racer which looks to be a nice mixture of real-world tracks, bikes and riders with a mix of arcade and simulation gameplay. The release date for the Monumental Games-developed title is March 15, 2011 on the PS3 and Xbox 360. I’ll see if I can dig up some cover art and post it shortly…
Insomniac is certainly living up to its name, cooking away on two solid PS3 releases (plus a few other projects we'll no doubt be hearing about come E3). Here's a look at gameplay footage from Ratchet & Clank's upcoming multiplayer-centric action game, plus two earlier introductory trailers below the jump. Er, Sony? I'd say pretty much anyone who can hold a controller (or, arcade stick if you're a REAL fighting fan) is interested in Capcom's soon to be released instant classic. The ages old “Who'd win in a fight?” question will absolutely be answered many, many times come February 15 on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Even without the insane 3D effect making your eyes pop out of your head saying “oooooooh”, this trailer for Evolution Studios’ upcoming PS3 exclusive racer is just plain spectacular, over the top insanity. Keep this one on your radars, folks – the game is really turning out to be a total blast. Now if only Sony would revive and give Evolution the Rally Cross license and let them have at it, I’d be an even happier gamer!
PlatinumGames' newest Sega title set for a Fall 2011 release, is going to be a multiplayer-focused brawler that (based on this too short and non-gameplay packed teaser), looks as if it's going to have some wild characters and at least one double-bladed chainsaw (ouch). As long as it's not another Iron Phoenix (and let's hope we see some sort of offline play, puh-lease!), I'm sold.

So much for the few remaining skeptics out there, huh? 2K and Gearbox are finally getting the news out that The Man Himself will be landing in retail stores for PS3, PC and Xbox 360 on May 3, 2011 in North America and May 6 everywhere else those alien bastards are trying to take over (as in the rest of the world). Groovy, I say. Time to go stock up on bubble gum and dig out the old combat boots once more. What, the store's all out of bubble gum? Well, there's only one thing to do then, right?

Where previous EDF games have similar acid-spewing or other weapons based on alien technology (which meant you couldn't reload them once you ran out of ammo, grrrr!), I like the all-new Pesticide Gun variants as well as the BIG explosions seen in these latest EDFIA screens (they almost look like a mini Genocide Gun with that blinding light). Go, Vicious Cycle! Spring is just around the corner and I'm pretty psyched about the final version (and still hoping we see some more surprises in terms of bonus materials). If you've been following this one from the beginning, you can see that the game is really shaping up nicely and should be quite a blast to play online or offline.
Note to D3: You ARE planning to get EDF 2 Portable out here in the US as well (on UMD and PSN, of course!)? Say YES and I'll be sure to tell too many people to buy the game. Hell, I'll go buy a few extra copies, for that matter!
