Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch GGD Trailer: PS3 Owners Get Their Happy Dance On (Again)

I’ve been a console agnostic kind of guy for ages, but I do love it when exclusives that matter get the proper respect. Level-5’s upcoming collaboration with Studio Ghibli has slipped into 2013 according to reports, but all that means for me is one more year for the PS3 to show off the fact that it has some mighty fine games on the way (and life left in it). Go poke around the official website if you’re still not convinced. If you decide to suddenly need a PS3, feel free to drop me a line so I can recommend a few too many other games for you.

Oh, by the way Namco Bandai? Love you (*mwhah!*) but you’re not QUITE off the hook completely here – where the heck is the DS Ni no Kuni game?

Sorcery Is Lord of Sorcery In Japan (And Still Coming Along Nicely)…

This PlayStation 3 exclusive is looking more and more polished and could be the best Move game to date that will also make folks who shelled out for that rough Kinect Star Wars game a bit cranky that this is what their game SHOULD have played like. Anyway, here’s a look at the Japanese trailer for the upcoming game. Hey, Sony, get the SCEA PR hype machine going harder for this one – you really need to Move a few more people to snap this gem up on day one! Hell, I’ll be one of those people just because I want to see this game do well after all the work that’s gone into it…

DmC Captivate Trailer/Gameplay: Dante’s Looking Sharper Than Before, So Lose The Hate, Kids…

Go, Ninja Theory! I love what I see here (even with the changes made), but as usual, the noisy crickets vomiting in the weeds outside keep getting in my way of enjoying all this hard work. OK… all the haters really need to put a boot in it already and just let the game get completed and ship as Capcom and Ninja Theory want it to go out. A little RESPECT goes a long way, kids – so knock it off and maybe try to accept something new for a change.

Still, I have to say, Capcom and Ninja Theory have a hard road ahead of them that I’m sure they’re a lot less diplomatic about in private. Man, what a bunch of unappreciative babies we have this console generation. This sense of entitlement too many feel towards content they should simply let a talented developer try something new with is getting out of hand. If the game is a hit (despite the bile being spilled), it sill still be hated by the idiots, but that’s too bad for them, I say.

Why more people aren’t waiting for some ACTUAL hands-on time before damning the final game to the discount bin is beyond me. Being a sheep and following the bleating heard of Negative Nellies just means you end up playing the same crap year after year and complaining about it afterward as if you don’t know YOU’RE part of the problem…

Sniper Elite V2 Demo Goes Live. Give It A Shot.

Even if you’re still somehow on the fence about this one (why? It’s NO CoD clone or anything even close to what you’re probably thinking if you ONLY play FPS after FPS), you can now PLAY the PSN or Xbox Live demo and see for yourself what I’m psyched for. Rebellion’s done its best work to date with this one, so take it for a spin and then go pre-order the game, already.  As for you PC owners and your tricked out rigs… well, you have to sit it out for a bit longer until that demo is ready, so keep your shirts on, OK?  Maybe  you can go hang out at a friend’s place even though playing games on a console is “beneath” your graphical and keyboard-mouse control expectations (*yawn*… whatever!), you’ll see what you’re in for shortly.

Hell, All those German V2 scientists aren’t going to shoot themselves, you know…

Nine More Gameplay Videos? Capcom REALLY Wants You To Buy Dragon’s Dogma…

Capcom is absolutely going all out with all these too short clips featuring the game’s assorted classes, aren’t they? Don’t get me wrong, folks – I’m definitely excited about the game and can’t wait to see how it’s all turned out. I’d just prefer ONE longer video to post instead of so many smaller ones, but hey – the more, the merrier, right? Still, all of these these too-brief blasts are getting many fans even happier about the upcoming action/RPG (and that included Resident Evil 6 demo is also getting fans of that particular franchise bouncing up and down in their chairs). OK, Capcom – all I need it the actual game to prance around and knock off a few beasties in for a huge chunk of time and I’m all good…

More Dragon’s Dogma clips after the jump…

Skullgirls “Behold Double” Trailer: Er, Behold Double WHAT?

Hey, now! Put down that baseball bat! I’m no pervy otaku at all, folks – I just laughed out loud when I saw the trailer title and watched it while my tiny male brain thought of the first two things that came to mind. Er, wait… that came out wrong. Um, boy, are my thumbs going to be sore! No, that didn’t come out right either…. Hmmm, let me quit while I’m ahead (or behind, depending on your sense of humor) or I’ll end up boots up in a Dumpster somewhere…

There Are More Fighters In The New Naruto Game Than Letters In This Title.

Between the massive roster, the all-new Studio Pierrot animation created for the game and the endless hours of fun that will have you and your Naruto-loving friends up (for endless hours, I say!)  I think it’s about time to stock up on a few extra controllers.  Just in case stuff happens.  “WHAT stuff?” you ask? Well, you know… stuff. Now, you don’t HAVE to buy those extra gamepads because I said so, but don’t cell me up at 2AM when you bust your stick and want to borrow one of mine. Go poke around on Newegg.com or something, snap up a few inexpensive Nyko wired controllers and leave me alone, I’m trying to sleep. Good Night!

Defiance Trailer: OK, If The Show Stinks, This Will Be A HUGE Waste Of Time And Talent…

Was that TOO harsh? Oops, sorry (heh). Well, I was trying not to be TOO negative, but I was royally bugged by a few things in the game and TV show description. I’m just saying that this is a massive risk for Sony, SOE, Trion Worlds and the former Sci-Fi Channel (yes, I still refuse to use that illiterate new spelling they paid someone far too much to change a few years ago). Sure, the game looks great so far (and has a way to go before its complete), but what if the vastly hyped upcoming TV show is less Battlestar: Galactica and more Terranova?  Oops. For a few potential players, that would doom the game, especially if they have memories of The Matrix Online or a few other MMO’s that promised the world but gave up the ghost somewhere along the line.

Starhawk Wants You To Take Nearly Everything Out For a Spin. With Pleasure, LightBox!

At this point about the only thing that can’t be driven, flown or dropped on an enemy in this innovative, lightning paced action/RTS hybrid are the planets in the game, but I’m sure LightBox will think of something creative to do about that… May 8, people. Go make yourselves happy and reserve away, as doing so will bump up that game to the Limited Edition version at no additional charge. Granted, if all you want is the single player campaign, you probably have not too much use for any DLC. Hopefully, that campaign will be lengthy and quite replayable for those gamers, but I think they’re covered, as this isn’t looking at all like a game you just play once and put back on the shelf…

Devil May Cry HD Collection Rolls Out Today For PS3, 360

Hear that loud screechy wailing sound? It’s a bunch of folks who’ve already played these games to death cheering that they get to do it all over again, whee! Just kidding. Anyway, Capcom’s got those folks by the nose (and has for years), but now they need to bend those noses down from their turned up positions and point them all to Ninja Theory’s upcoming DmC so they can see and play something that takes a different look and Dante’s past. There’s nothing wrong with nostalgia at all, kids… except when you let it cloud your heads so much that you refuse to want to even try something different and then complain that games never do anything new. Remember this.
