Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS Trailer: 33 Years And Worth The Wait…

Yes. Lovely. Just lovely. I was actually mildly skeptical for a little while that Ridley Scott could return and do something stellar with the franchise after the years of terrible Alien-related films that sunk the series deep. But I’m gladly wrong (and how!) now that I see the circle being completed with elements left out of the final film (but seen in storyboards and production art). I feel like sitting outside a theater and waiting, but I’m too old (and too smart) to be that crazy. Nevertheless, this looks like one I’ll line up for with a huge grin on my face when it’s released. Me and this franchise go way back, even before the original hit the screen… Continue reading

WB Triple Trailer Treat: The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit, Wrath of the Titans

Warner Bros. is going to have a really super 2012 in terms of movies, folks. Just for the heck of it (and because these are all great), here’s a look as there three big summer films. While I’m not sure there will be tie-in games released for any of them (Wrath of the Titans seems like a no-brainer even though Clash of the Titans developer Game Republic is dead and gone), We’ll keep you updated if any news pops up. Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises will most likely be the biggest grossing film of the trio, methinks (and he REALLY needs to do a James Bond film at some point in his career). However, I expect Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to rake in a hefty profit that’s pretty close, as it’s looking like a worthy followup to his multiple award-winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Speaking of Costume Reveals: Anne Hathaway As Catwoman

Hot of the heels of the new Superman costume reveal, here’s the new Catwoman for your approval. This one’s a photo from the official movie site, not one of the MANY unauthorized (but not exactly stopped from being posted everywhere) on-set pics and videos that sprung up last week revealing the new camo-patterned Batmobile and a battle between Batman and Bane (among other interesting tidbits). Still, it’s one less mystery about Nolan’s final entry in his Batman trilogy that should generate even more interest while we all wait for Summer 2012 to roll around.

‘Man of Steel’ Costume Reveal: Cavill Does The Suit Some Justice

Hmmmm… Kind of hard to make the whole costume out thanks to the lighting (and tiny picture – thanks WB!), but I say Mr.Cavill looks great in the suit. It's definitely a few steps up from the working class hipster costume from one of the three DC Comics Superman reboots, that's for sure. Not so subtle: the setting – I think it's WB noting that this new Superman movie will break the bank (I'll bet real money that's the intent behind the image)
