Despite The Bad Stuff, I’ll Still Finish A Few Things…

Status

As I’d already started a few posts earlier today before the bad news, I’ll actually get those in as one is my assignment for The Cinematic Katzenjammer’s Not-So-Secret Santa Review Swap in July (say that three times fast!) and the other is a more goofball Random Film of the Week chosen to reflect the stupidly hot weather we’re having here. I have some other stuff in the works as well (including a stupidly massive bunch of JRPGs to sell off on another site), but we’ll take that bit by bit based on the level of absurdity about to roll in over the next few days plus. Off to rest for a bit – I actually need to roll out of bed bright and do a ton of laundry…

Given his condition, this wasn’t completely unexpected, but it’s still a nice kick in the head on a too-hot Tuesday night. I’ll be back in a couple of days (or perhaps sooner for a general update). For some goofy reason, I thought of this old Hanna-Barbera cartoon when I got the news. I’ve got two brothers and a sister, but I guess this is how that part of my brain kicked in its own contribution to those rare moments when it was just the two of us (and no Snagglepuss to muck things up, but somehow, this was the episode that popped into my head. Um, thanks, brain?!):

Off for a few days to take care of a ton of stuff (and probably literally, given what’s in storage). I may post a quick update if I get a few moments to spare, but we’ll see. Time for the grief gougers to do their stuff, I guess…

Mystic Chronicles on PSN Today: It’s Your Blast of Retro JRPG Goodness for July

Well, it SHOULD be up and ready to buy shortly, as I’m getting error messages when I try to download my review code, bleh. This seems to always happen with PSN, as it seems that SCEA updates it during the day with content as opposed to at a fixed time, so one has to keep trying until that code is accepted. Oh well, I guess I can try again in the next few hours while I have access to a decent connection. Otherwise, it’ll be a case of “Tomorrow is another day!” Which reminds me: memo to Scarlett O’Hara, you’re pretty and all… but man are you a dope sometimes! “Fiddle dee dee!” indeed…
