Okay. I’m back. Sort of. Got a LOT of stuff going on up this way I’ll yak about in a separate post, but let’s all just watch this gorgeous trailer for the long delayed and finally has a release date soon to be instant classic The Last Guardian. Fumeto Ueda and his team’s game will indeed be worth the wait and in my mind, it’s one of the reasons I play videogames. For me, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus were and still are two of the best game experiences from the past 20 years, and seeing this final game appear means I can stop worrying about whether or not it will be good. I trust the creator and his vision and that’s all one needs in this case.
The Last Guardian hits retail and digital October 25, 2016. Yes, that collector’s edition below looks mighty nice, doesn’t it? Yep.

Finally! I completed Shadow of the Colossus again recently, and I’m currently working through ICO, so I’m really looking forward to this!

Between this, the new Zelda and a few too many indie games I’ve been poking at over the last few weeks, it’s going to be a crazy period of some nice titles dropping left and right.

That statue is gorgeous. I just hope all the hype doesn’t detract from the game.

Oh, I think the delays softened the demand a bit, but the game getting a date and more love at E3 made it jump back to a big deal. At least among fans of Team ICO’s work. That said, I wonder what would have occurred if it was publicly playable like Zelda was. Would Sony get an eight-hour long line like Nintendo did? Hmmmmmm…

Hmmmm… Honestly, I don’t know a lot of Team ICO fans, so I can’t say what the long the line would be. But even none ICO fans have been hyped up by the “legend” surrounding it. So I think it’ll be quite long.
