Your November just got a lot brighter, car fans. If you’re still playing the spectacular Gran Turismo 6 on your PlayStation 3, you’ll be very pleased to know that you’re getting a new car to drive pretty soon. Yesterday at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, BMW and Polyphony Digital, Inc. revealed that he rare BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car will be making an appearance in the game as a Free DLC update later this month…
According to the press release:
The BMW M Performance M4 Safety Car was produced by BMW of North America as an exciting showcase for the latest accessories in the popular M Performance Parts catalog, which are often used by BMW owners to fully personalize The Ultimate Driving Machine®.
The Safety Car began as a series-production, 2015 BMW M4 Coupe and features a custom body wrap by 3M in BMW Motorsport theme colors. Next, BMW added a full complement of BMW M Performance parts available for the M4: carbon fiber splitter system, side splitters, carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon fiber rear diffuser, black BMW kidney grilles, black side gills, and titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber exhaust tips. The M4 Safety Car theme is completed by a set of LED grille-mounted flashers and LED rooftop light bar.
Of course, the goal here is to get you BMW owners to check out the company’s line of performance parts, or perhaps even make the switch to BMW over what you’re currently driving. You can’t go wrong with a strategy like that, I say. Especially when it means moving to a higher class of vehicle with a proven track record for quality and technical innovations as well as just making a mighty fine ride for those who know. And hey, when was the last time you legally got a BMW for free? I thought so.
