And of course, Capcom is being trolled harder since these announcements by “fans” who are more like nasty barnacles more than people who seem to “enjoy” anything the company is putting out on the game front these days. Yes, poor MM has been through some development hell lately (although he’s popping up in some interesting fan-made and professional non-MM game projects) and sure, you can scream at Capcom until you turn bluer than the Blue Bomber about anything else you believe they’ve done wrong since the Great Clock was first constructed. But, NO. You can’t poop on the work of these talented musicians that happen to be Mega Man fans as well who’ve worked an ass cheek or two off making music for your listening pleasure just because the Internet allows you to rant at your leisure (no matter how ignorant you sound)…
Thankfully, the too-vocal minority who need to learn patience and perhaps stop with the constant yelling because people who scream all the time eventually get ignored (or arrested once they devolve to making death threats because they’re not being heard because they’ve said the same few things a few dozen times in a few dozen other forums and are ignored just because of that fact, *whew!*) aren’t stopping people who want to buy this music from doing so. I hear that OverClocked ReMix is sold out of the physical version of their album. I’m not sure how MM25: Mega Man Rocks is doing, but the tracks I’ve heard are pretty fun and show bands with a true love for the characters and the classic game series.
While I have no idea what Capcom plans for Mega Man in the future (hey, I’m on record as saying HD remakes of the two MM Legends games and The Misadventures of Tronne Bonne would do pretty darn well over PSN or any other system including PC, grrr!), I’m also smart enough to not be an ass about knocking the company for not doing things on MY timetable. I’m sure they’ll eventually get us fans a new and cool MM that will surprise even the skeptics, but it’s a BIG game world and I’ll be playing other titles while I keep an eye peeled for any new news.
