So, my day ends like this: I come home, turn on the computer to check my email and started laughing as soon as I saw the crazy amount of Bruce Lee fight scenes and other fun stuff from the folks at Shout Factory. It would seem that they’ve released Bruce Lee: The Legacy Collection last month (October 22, to be exact) and are now in the process of heavily promoting this nice-looking 11-disc(!) Blu-Ray/DVD set that comes with a great photo-packed book and hours of special features. But yeah, I know you… you’re just here for the fights. OK, then:

Now, should YOU buy this box set? Come on, now… you KNOW I’m going to answer with a big, wet sloppy YES. If those two awesome (and yes, hilarious) fight scenes above aren’t enough to convince you, well… there’s more where that came from. Below the jump with you, NOW! (*boot!*)

What, so you think you’re TOUGH, eh? Well, sit down, have some teeeeaaaaa and we’ll talk about it. Or not – Just beat the crap out of those people who somehow don’t see that they’re messing with the wrong guy and kind of deserve what the hell they’re about to get:

Yeah, well… Chuck Norris is so tough that… Bruce Lee beat him to death and then some in this film! How’s that for tough? That means that guy popping up on TV with the crazy political ideas and selling exercise equipment is a clone or a robot!

True story: When I was a kid, some nut bought a pair of nunchuks to school to show off after he’d seen a Bruce Lee film. Of course, as he was showing them off, a teacher popped up and wanted to take them from him. Does he willfully comply as he should have? Nooooo, he tries to USE them on the teacher and promptly hits himself in the face, breaking a tooth. (aings) “Instant Karma’s gonna get ya…”

And finally, um… er… yeah. Kareem Abdul Jabbar? There’s a story behind his appearance in Game of Death and why the heck this mismatch of the decade is in this oddball film, but you’ll need to buy this box set to find out what’s what. Or be lazy and cheap by using a search engine. You know, you’re NO FUN when you get like that? BOR-ING!
