If you’re lucky enough to live in and around New York City and have been to the Museum of the Moving Image any time since July 26th, you’re probably more than aware that there’s been a very cool exhibit based around AMC’s Breaking Bad that’s running until October 27th, 2013.

Those in the know about this also know about tomorrow’s really special viewing party for the show’s final episode that’s going to draw in BB fans and toy collectors thanks to the fine folks and AMC teaming up with Mezco Toyz. Tomorrow’s events include a raffle of some of Mezco’s popular Walter White action figures with the already sold-out screening.

Details below the jump. If you’re interested you can most likely pop into the museum to see the exhibits but not the screening unless you’ve got a ticket from somewhere or someone. Fat chance on that happening at this late date, but a bag of blue can get you anything I hear…

Museum Of The Moving Image Hosts Big Screen Viewing Of Breaking Bad Series Finale- Gives Away Mezco Breaking Bad Action Figures

The Museum’s Breaking Bad exhibit will be open for after-hours viewing; thousands of dollars worth of Walter White action figures, courtesy of Mezco Toyz, will be raffled off.

New York, Friday, September 27, 2013

What will happen to Walter White? The highly acclaimed AMC television series Breaking Bad, winner of the Emmy for Best Dramatic Series, will end on Sunday, September 29 with its eagerly awaited final episode. In conjunction with the exhibit From Mr. Chips to Scarface: Walter White’s Transformation in Breaking Bad, the Museum will present a live screening of the series finale, in the beautiful Redstone Theater. The series has received praise for its cinematic quality, and here is a special opportunity to experience it on the big screen with an audience full of the show’s fans.

The Museum’s Breaking Bad exhibit, which features costumes worn by Bryan Cranston’s character alongside iconic props from the show, will be open from 7:00-9:00 p.m. prior to the event. The exhibit will continue to be on view at the Museum through October 27.

NOTE: Tickets are no longer available for this live viewing, which were offered in advance, free with Museum admission.

Courtesy of Mezco Toyz, the Museum will raffle off several thousand dollars worth of Walter White action figures. Mezco carries exclusive Breaking Bad action figures and merchandise, which will be available at New York Comic Con, and on their website.

Mezco’s Breaking Bad action figures, plush figures, bobbleheads, and Pink Teddy Bear Eyeball have taking the world of collecting by storm, with some rare variants fetching hundreds of dollars each on the secondary market.

Later in 2013, Mezco will be donating the prototypes of the action figures to be included in the museum’s renowned Behind The Screen exhibit of movie tie in products. Mezco has donated countless artifacts to the museum over the years. Mezco’s King Kong prototype action figure is on permanent display in the museum in a custom made showcase, where he has become a fan favorite of visitors.
