Kid Icarus Uprising Update: The Kitchen Sink Approach In Full Working Order

Anyone worrying about whether or not this game will do well (or be any good) hasn’t been paying attention to all those videos Nintendo has been posting on YouTube. by packing the game with cameos from franchise familiars and in this latest trailer above, showing off how well the game plays, it’s practically guaranteed that Kid Icarus will be at the top of the 3DS charts for some time. That, and it also shows the 3DS isn’t going anywhere anytime soon (which is also a good thing)…

    • It’s a 3DS-only title, which is really great for 3DS owners, but too bad for folks that don’t have one yet, as I’m sure a new Kid Icarus game would have done spectacularly well on the DS/DSi…

      • Yup, completely incompatible (unfortunately). Given the 3DS is a more powerful handheld than the DSi, Nintendo is showing off how it can do “console quality” graphics as well as a decent 3D effect. I’ve seen the game with and without the 3D on and it looks pretty great either way, but it’s just too much for the DSi to handle…

      • There are still DS and DSi games coming out (the number is slowly shrinking over time, but there’s still life left in the DS from what I can see), but Nintendo wants as many people to upgrade to the 3DS because it plays DS, DSi and 3DS titles (plus whatever online content they release for the handheld through their e-shop).

      • thanks ^^ I guess I’ll just have to get me one of those 3DS’s eventually.. I hardly ever get any consoles when they are “new” though, (except for the xbox 360, I get every new version that comes out!!…almost) I prefer buying retro stuff mainly ;D
